Four years ago, Ned Atwater began turning certified organic whole-grain flours and sourdough starters into bread. Atwater's hand-shaped, hearth-baked breads and pastries are made from scratch, without sugar or fats, using traditional methods and ingredients. The bakery strives to use seasonal and locally grown food to create all of their products. Visit them on Saturdays at the H Street or Silver Spring FRESHFARM Markets and on Sundays at the Dupont Circle FRESHFARM Market. During the week, Atwater's goods can be found at our Foggy Bottom and Crystal City markets. They also sell at the Takoma Park, Waverly, Arlington and Catonsville farmers markets.
