Black Rock Orchard works hard to meet the challenge of being able to offer a wide variety of fruit, from summer raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, apricots, nectarines and peaches to fall pluots, Italian prune plums and Fall raspberries. We are proud of the wide selection of apples we grow starting with summer varieties such as Lodi, Summer Rambo and Ginger Gold, early fall favorites like Honey Crisp and Jonagold and ending with old favorites like Stayman Winesap and Ida Red and newer varieties like Pink Lady and Ambrosia. We have also worked hard to offer a wide selection of pears including Asian Pears, Bartlett, Magness, Seckel and Bosc. Through improved storage methods, we can offer some varieties of apples and pears at the markets all winter. Black Rock Orchard sells at the Dupont Circle, Bethesda and Penn Quarter FRESHFARM Markets and at the Takoma Park Market on Sundays, in Falls Church on Saturday mornings, and at several markets in the Baltimore area.
